Scope
This policy covers www.chemazon.store and the CHEMAZON mobile applications for Android and iOS. The website and the apps share the same accounts and the same back-end, so unless a section says otherwise, everything here applies to both.
Data we collect
Account details (name, email, company, phone), KYC and business documents for sellers, delivery and pickup addresses, order/invoice/payment metadata, enquiries and support correspondence, and usage analytics events (searches, product views) used to improve the marketplace.
Data the mobile app collects
In addition to the above: device model, operating system and app version, the push notification token issued by the platform’s notification service, and diagnostic or crash information used to fix faults. Your sign-in session is held in the device’s secure keystore. The app does not collect location, contacts, photo library, call or SMS data, and carries no advertising identifier or third-party tracking.
Device permissions
The app asks for a permission only when a feature needs it. Notifications: to send order, payment, dispatch and return updates. Files and documents: so you can attach COA/TDS/SDS or KYC paperwork and save invoices — it reads only the files you pick, never your wider storage. Every permission is optional, can be refused, and can be withdrawn at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working without it.
How we use it
To operate the marketplace: authentication, order processing, fraud prevention, seller verification, transactional notifications, statutory invoicing and tax records, support, and aggregate analytics. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Order-related details are shared between the transacting buyer and seller, and with logistics partners as needed to fulfil an order. Service providers process data only on our instructions: cloud hosting, email delivery, and the push notification services operated by Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Apple (APNs). Admins access data to operate and moderate the platform. We also disclose data where the law, a court, or a regulator requires it.
Cookies & similar technologies
The website uses cookies and local storage for your sign-in session, cart contents and theme preference, plus aggregate usage measurement. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Order, invoice and tax records are retained for the period Indian tax and company law requires, even after an account is closed. Other data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed.
Security
Passwords are hashed; access is role-based; transport is encrypted in production; mobile sessions are stored in the device’s secure keystore. No system is perfectly secure — keep your credentials confidential and tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw a consent, or object to a particular use, subject to legal retention requirements. See Account & Data Deletion for how to have your account and data removed.
Children
CHEMAZON is a business-to-business platform for verified companies. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor holds an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy as the platform changes. The revision date is shown at the top of this page, and material changes are notified by email or in the app before they take effect.
